Symposium Submission

Symposia consist of a Session of 60 minutes in duration and involve a minimum of 4 speakers. We encourage diversity in speakers and symposiums that bridges disciplines and institutions.

The program will have 4 parallel sessions running each day:
1. Biology
2. Biomechanics
3. Clinical
4. Bridging basic and clinical research

Symposia Submission Opens: November 15, 2026
Symposia Submission Deadline: December 15, 2026
Notification of acceptance: January 20, 2027

If you are interested in submitting a symposium proposal, please do so via the online submission form by the designated deadline. The online form will be available in this page on November 15. You may use this template to prepare it.

Each symposium will have a duration of 60 minutes.

By submitting a proposal, symposium chairs agree to the following:
1. That they will obtain written confirmation from the invited speakers
2. That will register and attend the Conference to chair the symposium, should it be accepted
3. That they will review the abstracts that are submitted for their symposium

Note that invited keynote speakers cannot be present as part of a Symposium.

EORS 2027 retains the right to merge similar symposium proposal or to cancel a symposium, if a critical number of abstracts is not received. Thus, symposium chairs are encouraged to actively promote their symposium.

The symposia proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Relevance to orthopaedic / musculoskeletal / trauma research
  • Scientific / technological / clinical / educational / societal impact
  • Diversity of the groups represented

Due to budget constraints, EORS 2027 will not provide financial support for symposium chairs and speakers. All symposium participants must register for the conference.
